80% of platform workers reported not receiving contracts in Indonesia. Out of these workers, 22% reported not being told about any agreements or terms of work and another 22% reported an absence of any such terms.
Out of those who had contracts, 2 out of 3 reported that the terms were violated by the platforms. 90% reported that the area of violations were around wages.
Adhering to platform guidelines emerged as a key requirement, with 85% reporting at least one parameter to be followed to keep their accounts active.
85% of workers reported that their performance would be monitored based on ratings from customers and 83% reported impact of customer ratings on work allocations, duration of work or wages.
